Honestly?!

Ok so I know I just posted but I have to write this.  It all begins at church.  It started out great, but of course the last hour is usually the hardest to get through with Jada.  We were out walking about in the halls and played in some empty classrooms.  Well, I was sitting in a classroom as Jada exited into the hallway and just sat at the doorway.  I saw her look down at the carpet at this spot on the floor (which I thought was crushed crackers) I saw her stick her finger in there and attempt to eat it.  I told her no of course and then went over there to grab her from it.  What was that awful smell? I asked myself, I looked at this spot on the carpet to find little chunks in it and the smell coming from that...OH MY WORD! Is that somebody's vomit? poop?  WHAT!  My daughter just ate this and cringed...I rushed her into the mother's lounge to clean her hands and myself since she had to touch me all over.  I started to find this stuff coming out of no where.  What is going on!?  I started to clean it off her shoes, the counter, an air freshener, her legs...then I had realized it was coming from her!  Her diaper had exploded and it was getting everywhere.  I was mortified.  I thought this ended when they reached a certain age!  I am so glad that someone was in the lounge to help me grab her diaper bag that I had left in the R.S. room and she had bags to put clothes in and whatever else.  What a doll!
So Jada continues to scream & cry and clench to me, while I am trying to pry her off of me and get her cleaned up.  The smell, I was going to puke.  We got things situated and I cleaned up everything around me.  I went back to the stain on the carpet and scrubbed my heart out.  Now I know why I am a germaphobe when it comes to public places, you just don't know what has been on that floor or anywhere else.  I took off to the car and thankfully Dane was done teaching and church was over.
Well, the night went on, I put things to wash, Dane put Jada to wash, and we ate dinner.  Jada got into her PJ's all ready to go for bed.  A little after dinner, Dane picked up Jada and said, "is that poo I smell? Are you serious?  Denise did she leak through?"  and of course..she did!  Dane got it all over his shirt and we undressed her and Dane gave her another bath.  We redressed her for the night.   I threw a towel in her crib just in case.
Well, our home teachers came over and Wyatt was giving a lovely message, and in the middle of it, Jada decided to (don't worry, no more poo) take her FIRST official few steps from the couch to the TV.   I of course interrupted Wyatt and said, "Did you see that?!!!!"  They all seemed to be excited or were just humoring me.  Dane missed it.  We then were praying and Jada stopped and folded her arms!  Another first!  So, all in all.  A crazy but great Sunday.

Waiting

We are just counting down the days to get to head home to Utah.  I cannot wait, as usual!!! Meanwhile, Jada has started to say more words and is gaining confidence in walking.  Dane has finals coming up next week! He is sooo excited to end this semester.  Other than that, we attended a Christmas party for Dane's class in Milwaukee.  We went bowling and ate.  They bought Jada a snowman cup, she likes to hug & kiss it of course.   I also put up Christmas decor.  I love this time of year!!!  Here are some pics of the girl and things.  enjoy.

GOOD MORNING
driving on the couch
every which way
pit stop to eat cookies
we were trying to put away her clothes and in jumped jada into the basket
then she stole the basket, flipped it over, and dragged it over to her crib so that she could climb
washing dishes
SOAKED
We taught her 'if you're happy and you know it" and
"do as I'm doing" which she does to ANY song she hears.

Oh, I guess I will share  a TMI story.  I was washing the dishes while Dane was bathing the kid.  I heard screams from Dane, "Denise, come here now, come here now!" Ok, so I book it over to the bathroom and there it was.   A 'snicker bar' in the bathtub.  It was disgusting, absolutely disgusting.  Dane was flipping out, Jada was flipping out because she was taken out of her bath time, and I was going as fast as I could to please both of them.  My word, I needed a mute button for just 5 min.  I just couldn't believe that had just happened!
sidenote: there is a video of her pushing her car and 'do as i'm doing', but this darn blogger is having major problems with video upload, i will just send the videos to family.

We got our gobble on

THANKSGIVING!!!  Dane's parents flew in to be with us during Thanksgiving.  We LOVED their company and it was so sad to see them leave.  We love it when they can come and visit.  I feel bad because Jada was not doing so hot during their stay and was extremely grumpy.  It was very similar to last Thanksgiving when they came, except for I was sick too last year.  Two grumps last year, so maybe it was a tad better this time!
We had a great time just hanging out and chatting.  We were fed very well and I didn't have to cook until Thanksgiving day.  I did mess up a few things, made pumpkin pie but mid poor i realized I was putting sweetened condensed milk in instead of evaporative milk...I about died...Kim assured me it would turn out just fine, and it did...sweeter, but still delicious.  Then I forgot to defrost the rolls so with the help of Kim's improvisation, we did the quickest method we could to bake them, they didn't rise much :)  We had our meat, rolls, and stuffing all in the oven at the same time...crazy.  It's terrible that there is a lot of preparation into dinner and it only take 5 minutes to eat it! Shame.
Grandma & Grandpa brought Jada a singing snowman and barking dog.
She loves this thing and she loves that she can turn it on and off herself
I will have to get a good video of her playing with it.  So cute.

The Crafster

So everyone I know here does crafts but me.  It has never been my thing, well until I couldn't do the things I love anymore...now I see why moms turn to crafting!  They are home all day and need something to do (at least that is the case for me).  So thanks to the newest craze, Pinterest, I have ventured out into attempting to learn a new skill, crafting :)  Here are a few things I have made for Jada.  I have to say I couldn't wait to be done the moment I started haha...no patience!

Inspiration: Coffee Filter Peonies
I decided to make them for Jada's vase, I had another arrangement in there that I didn't like so I decided to fix it.  I made 3 pink/white ones and 2 white ones...the rest of the bouquet are flowers from Michaels
Some turned out better than others through trial and error. I used the ugly ones anyways
Inspiration: Coffee Filter Pom Pom
I hung these in Jada's Room.
I chose to do three different styled poofs.
glad these are done!
many burned tips of fingers later and many dying sessions :)

Inspiration: Felt Christmas Tree
I cut and decorated each individual ornament, glueing stripes and polka dots, etc.
This was actually the funnest to do.

Oh and I did this with my friend Brittney, she was my inspiration :)

Halloween

Here are her pictures of her 2nd Birthday party with her friends
chloe, bella, jada

after party!
Here is Daddy & Daughter time carving their pumpkin.
Jada loved playing with the guts.  She kept putting it back inside the pumpkin every time Dane pulled it out.
Then on Halloween we went downtown to trick or treat at all the businesses.  They set up outside and hand out candy.  It was fun and Jada really enjoyed holding on to her candies in her hand with a death grip! She loved all the dogs that passed by, the Halloween decor, and kiddos in costumes.  She looked so cute in her outfit, it's too bad they have to dress warm and kind of lose the effect of their costume.
i really couldn't figure out where her other leg went?  spooky.
I guess we should have dressed up too?
A couple days later, Jada found her costume and wanted to put it on, so she played in it for awhile.  She is too cute!
she really wanted that hat on, but it kept poppin' off...too small for her head.
