On the Farm Part 1

Warning, this might be a long post!
It sure was fun being able to be back at Dane's home in Washington.  We really enjoyed our time there and love getting to see everybody again. Jada loved going out on wagon rides and adored Kene's dogs! They would greet her with many kisses every time we came outside.  She loved to pet them and would stick out her feet and her hands for them to lick her.  They made her smile & laugh.
Well, we started out with a good ol' Sunday dinner BBQ with family coming over.  Grandpa Carter did a delicious carne asada as always :)
Grandpa Christensen (Dane's Dad)
This is the first time she has ever played with a doll.  We put her there while we ate dinner and we kept hearing giggly, screaming, and all sorts of squeals.  We all looked over to find Jada really enjoying this baby doll.  I guess she might be getting one for her birthday ;)
Kene (Dane's brother), Damon (his boy)
Damon, Joel, Jada playing with the tractors...well, Jada's got the curling iron :)
We also went to visit Dane's cousins Connie & Brian and their kids which are all actually closer to our ages.  We had a BBQ for Kelli's Birthday (Dane's 2nd cousin).  Jada couldn't get enough of their horses, ducks, cats, dogs!!  She kept trying to chase down their cats & a little wiener dog who would bark at her but then ran away the second she went a chasin' after it.  Woosey :)
Jada & Thurston (Tyler, Dane's 2nd cousin's boy)

First tractor ride.  Dane is working the fields on his big swather.  She really enjoyed her time riding with Dad, we stayed with Dane for an hour! Sorry for the amateur video ;)

Playing with more cousins at Grandma Christensen's house.
Lindsey (Dane's sister), Jada, Ava (her girl)
Riding the police motorcycle
Blake wanted to feed the baby :) (Lindsey's boy)
She stole all of Dane's peaches every time he sat down to have some.
She was pooping every hour! She had so many cherries, peaches, watermelon etc! So GOOD.

She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy

We went to Washington to visit Dane's family back on the farm.  It was BEAUTIFUL there! We were surrounded by rolling hills of orchards and crops.  Nearest neighbor is probably 1-2 miles away :) Here is just a preview, I will get the rest of the pictures up later.  Jill (Dane's sis-in-law) took some pictures of our family since we don't have any!!  We had to get some with the tractors! Dane wouldn't have it any other way!
Jada and her cousins: Joel & Damon
Joel was due the same day Jada was but they ended up
2 weeks apart exactly!

Capturing Those Moments

I found out that Jada knows how to crawl up the stairs.  We were at the pool playing in the kid area and up she went on the stairs! Wha?! Cool, that was easy.  Here we are showing Dane.

Since we go swimming a lot, she has become very comfortable with water.
I don't know what her plans are here other than trying to drink it? She is crazy sometimes.

Getting her to laugh a bit with some goofy faces.
Dane caught the end of it with the camera.

Jada curiously in the fridge

You know she's gotta be Mexican if she is eating pico like it's sugar!
I started out giving her bits and pieces and then she decided to take matters into her own hands
to pick up the pace!
She even ate the onions! yuck!

Her pigtails...Denise out!

County Fair

We had the fair happening most of the week just across the street from our house.  It was free so it was nice to just walk over and spend some time there.  Jada loves the geese, ducks, and dogs at the park so I figured she would LOVE seeing other sorts of animals.  I soon learned they were a tad scary for her especially so near by.  She did enjoy the smaller, furrier ones. It was a big issue getting these pictures transferred to the computer and unfortunately I lost a few! She saw some goats and one poked his head out towards her and I captured a priceless face of her saying "get me out of here!"
pigs stink!
I think one flipped their urine on me with their tail!
cows were scary, she didn't want to be there
horses on the other hand...she loved.  She's waving to them.
camels are really soft!
Well the cleanest looking one anyway.
bunnies, chicken, turkey, geese...she loved them all
Homer: You can't outsmart carnival folk. They're the cleverest folk in the world. Just look at the way they sucker regular folk with their crooked games.
Dane got suckered in by the carnies (men among men)
he lost, but they gave him a pity stuffed animal :)

Thriller at the Miller

The Dental students played the Med students a game of softball which was hosted at the Miller park.  Dane & his good pal Wally played on the "Fun Team".  I couldn't stop teasing Dane about that, since it sounds like they were "special" players or something (which was not the case at all, but funny anyways). They had a BBQ for us afterwards which I felt we got gypped (we payed for all of this mind you).  There were hamburgers with no toppings for us or a choice of a dog.  There were some chips set up on some person's table, which I chose to be mine, and everyone kept coming up and asking..."are those chips yours? or?" Then a choice of beer, water or soda.  We grabbed a few soda cans to make up for the lack of food.  Stuffed it into my diaper bag :)  I knew the big size bag would come in handy someday!  Anyways, the game ended in a tie and we went home starving, but well packed with pop.
girl would not sit still while i was trying to feed her
