I'm Famous!

Dane was asked to be interviewed by the Milwaukee local news station about ancestry.com, the geneology website.  Brad Hicks, the news anchor, came to our apartment with his cameraman.  He was really friendly and outgoing.  He did a 15 min interview with Dane and he did really well.  He had a lot of great things to say, too bad they only used 2 seconds of what he said!! "He was a farmer, and he was a farmer".  Haha, too many great things he said and that is all they used!?  The interview went really well and it was fun to see him on TV. Here is a clip of that. Enjoy.

3 Month Shoot Preview

So my friend that lives in the building next to us helped me out by taking pictures of Jada.  They haven't been all edited yet so I will just post what I have.

oh and a funny one I thought.  Dane & I were getting ready for church and just put Jada down to swing. We were trying to grab something to eat.  I kept hearing a complaining baby, but she is always complaining so I thought nothing of it.  I came back around the corner to find Jada dragging off her swing.

I'm Funny

I completely forgot to post this.  I got her to laugh for the first time about a week or so ago.  Dane caught the end of her giggle fest so the laughter doesn't last long in this clip :)

HaHa, He Said Duty

The title of this blog is one of my favorite Simpsons quotes and I giggle every time it's used in church, but unfortunately this story involves a different kind of duty.
Today Jada looked pretty decked out in her shirt, skirt, and bow in her hair all ready to go to church.  We were in sacrament meeting and Jada was in her car seat smiling away.  She started to fuss a bit and so I decided to pull her out.  I did just that and sat her on my lap and Dane looks at me in a gasp and mouths to me, "What is THAT?"  I looked down and her whole back of her shirt was soaked.  What the?  So I grabbed the diaper bag and ran out with Dane holding Jada strategically.  We found a room and plopped her down on a table.  We started to undress her and found that the wet spot was a very sticky & wet soilage!! it was all over her.  UGH! NOT NOW! So we were pulling her clothes off frantically and it just got everywhere.  Her arms, legs, on Dane, on Me, car seat etc.  I told Dane, "Let's go to the mother's lounge, they have a sink and we can just hose her down."
We did just that, Dane of course was hesitant to enter, but I glared at him and just thought, "this is not the time to be a worry wart!! It's empty, just come in!"
The sink ran nothing but cold cold water.  Scratch that idea.  So I laid out a bunch of paper towels to put a  baby down covered in poop and wiped her down a wipey at a time.  Task completed.  But then, uh oh, we didn't bring an extra change of clothes.  My poor naked baby in a Wintery Wisconsin.  Luckily it was a warmer day at 35-40 degrees.  We wrapped her up in her blanket and she had nothing on but her new diaper and her bow.
She fell asleep soon after that so I waited until she woke up and we ditched the rest of church.  I drove 30 minutes toward home with a very mad & screaming baby.  Lucky me.

BLIZZARD!

Now who says they don't want to live in Wisconsin? This might be ONE reason! The winds were blowing really hard last night with snow just pounding up against the building and snow flurries covering the sky.  It was even cold in my apartment for the FIRST TIME EVER!  It was real fun to watch from our bedroom window while tucked away in bed.  I don't know if this is the last of the storm or just the beginning..We shall see. Dane's school was let out early yesterday and today got cancelled! WOO HOO for me! Here are some pics.

Poor neighbor Grandma is shut in!
Dane to the rescue!

I started to shovel, but quit.
It was too heavy, too much snow, and bitter COLD

This was blocking my door

Like my pants?
GO COUGS!

Baby Say What?

Here is Jada trying to carry on a conversation.
Be patient, she takes a little bit to warm up to the idea.
She started out by saying, "NO", but I just barely missed recording it.
