Sadie Lea Christensen

My little Sadie is here!  She is to die for! It started out with the discussion of an early induction so that Birgitta and my Mom could schedule a time to come.  My original due date was the 30th so Sadie came 10 days early.   The Dr had me come into St Joseph's hospital in Milwaukee on the 19th to start the process with a cervix ripener.  They started the pitocin around 5:45 am on the 20th.  The Dr came in around 9:00 am to pop my water.  That was extremely painful by the way!  They started my epidural soon afterwards.  I took a short nap and felt the baby drop as I inclined my bed.  It was extremely painful.  I started to bawl.  The nurse checked me and found that I was at an 8 and called the Dr.  I had the urge to push but they wouldn't let me as they were waiting on the Dr to arrive.  It took me 15 min to progress to a 10.  I was in a lot of pain until the boost of medication finally kicked in.  By then the Dr had just arrived and was shocked to see the head.  They got things rolling quickly and it took me one push.  There she was!  Born at 11:44 am.  20 in, 7 lb 15 oz.
A lot of these pictures are repeats from my facebook account.  I tried to add some new ones.

Birgitta getting her feet rubbed. Wasn't I the one that just had a baby? ;)

August Break: Chicago Day Trip

We took a trip to Chicago with our friends the Checketts.  We decided to go to the Science & Technology Museum and then to the Aquarium.  We ate Chicago pizza on the way home.  Quick trip but it sure did wipe me out!

August Break: Wis Dells

Dane got a 2 week break from school before his third year officially started, so we decided we should venture out of Cedarburg.  We were able to stay in Wisconsin Dells and had a lot of fun with just ourselves.  We started out at Noah's Ark Waterpark.  It was large, and probably would have been more adventurous if I weren't pregnant and we had no kids because the lines were long and the rides were BIG.  They didn't have much for Jada to play with, it was either closed or she was just a tad too young.  We had fun anyways.  I will be omitting any pictures of me in a bathing suit, for obvious reasons! :)
unrelated: Morning ritual...copy Mom in everything she does
this was a lawn chair just her size, she wanted to lounge instead of splash in the water
I cannot tell you how many times Jada went down this slide with Dane.
Dane got so dizzy after a while.  That is them on the right.  I had a video, but it won't download
Boy am I treated with royalty.
Jada insisted she massaged me
There will be no resistance from me :)

We also went mini golfing on a stormy day.  Luckily it rained before us and after we left.  It was Jada's first time with golf.  She had fun trying to hit the ball, but mostly just dropping the ball in the hole.  Oh, and did I mention I slaughtered Dane?  yes, he hates it when he loses to me, which is often.  He really tries hard to beat me, well, in everything really!

This was such a fun course.  They have so many courses here, I would love to come back and try some more
Other activities included, paddle boating, swimming at the resort, outlet shopping, horse back riding, and just relaxing.
yes, flattering picture, i know ...Chris Farley?
the ride was fun for a pregnant lady...haha
Jada's first ride, she enjoyed herself even though none of her pictures can ever show a smile
lame petting zoo afterwards
unrelated: watching the thunderstorm.
Again, had a cute video but won't download
